Shinjo Ito Exhibit at the Chicago Illuminating Company

- Presentation by Dr. Margaret Miles followed by chocolate and tea tasting.
- Dr. Margaret Miles, former dean of the Berkeley Graduate Theological Union, will present "Seeing and Believing: The Role of Vision in Religious Practice." Afterward, chocolate connoisseurs from Vosges Haut-Chocolat will guide guests through a chocolate and tea tasting experience, sparking discussion bite by bite and sip by sip.

- Jazz performance by Yoko Noge and Valerie Hines
- Proclaimed "a cultural force and a ferocious talent" by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago jazz performer Yoko Noge performs a unique fusion of classic American jazz and blues with folkloric traditions from her native Japan. Special guest Valerie Hines is considered one of the richest contralto voices today, possessing colorful harmonic lushness and a sophisticated, poignant sound. Legendary singer and songwriter George Benson compares Hines's sultry sound to the great Nina Simone.

A limited number of yoga mats will be provided.
